I create fine art portraits of a wide range of animals and wildlife in a variety of styles and sizes. Using photographs as reference, and finding out a little bit about your pet, I can create a realistic portrait full of personality that can be cherished forever.
How can I order a portrait?
As I work using photographs as a reference, it is vital, first of all, to have the best quality images to work with, showing best details such as the fur, eyes, markings etc & in this way you can be sure I will achieve the best result for your pet portrait.
If possible, it is always best to send three or four images pointing out which one is most true to their colour.
Try to get as close to your pet as possible whilst staying in focus as this will give the maximum amount of detail.
I cannot emphasise enough that the better the image you give me, the better the portrait will be.
Group portraits are possible and can be combined from separate images.

When sending emailed photos I always answer the same day, so if you haven’t heard back from me it means your email didn’t reach me.
Some customers like to see the process of their portraits.
Here you can see in a basic format the steps involved in the creation of your pet portrait.
I thought it may be of interest to people who are considering a portrait and wanted to see how the process works and all the stages involved.
How long does a portrait take?
The waiting list can vary depending on time of year. Leading up to Christmas I am very busy so it is best to plan your portrait well in advance. If there is a certain deadline I will try and get it finished a week before then so you have plenty of time to wrap it up. Once your pet portrait is completed, I will send you an email letting you know your portrait is complete and, if you will want to, a photo of it. Only if you will be completely happy with the portrait I’ll ask for payment prior to shipment.
