Alice’s Pawtraits – Pet Portrait & Wildlife Artist

Hello & Welcome

Hello & welcome everyone.

About me: My name is Alice Deidda and I’m a pet portrait artist from Sardinia, Italy but now based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Since the day I can remember I have always loved Art & animals, in 2010 I studied & graduated at the Art School Foiso Fois in Cagliari (Italy), my whole life drawing & painting have been my passion.

In 2016 I decided to move to Edinburgh to pursue my dream & I’m now a specialised Pet portrait & Wildlife Artist and I absolutely love it.

During these 3 years I’ve been exhibiting at different events such as The Scottish Kennel Club Championships show in Edinburgh, The Dog Lover Show in Glasgow & various Crafters Roadshows throughout Scotland.

Pet portrait artist

A pet portrait is one of the most special ways to celebrate the bond you have with that special friend in your life. When I get a commission for a portrait, I take time to speak with you and try to get a real feel for each individual pet and the love you both share. I always ask for a few detailed photos so I can best capture a true likeness and spirit of your beloved pet. During the process I give updates to ensure that you will be 100% happy before I complete each portrait.

It’s important for me to have as much interaction so we can achieve the best result together. Over the years, I’ve got commissions from clients worldwide including USA, Canada, Italy, Malaysia and the UK & Ireland.

I am very passionate about my pet portraits and always take great care in ensuring that each pet portrait is completed the highest standard and using the best professional art supplies.

You will be able to choose your favourite style as I realise portraits in:

  • Coloured pencil
  • Acrylic paint.

You will also be able to choose between different sizes of paper, or otherwise, if you will prefer a painting, you will find hanging slates or wooden memory boxes.

Colored pencil pet portrait, perfect gift for every occasion

I create fine art portraits of a wide range of animals and wildlife in a variety of styles and sizes. Using photographs as reference, and finding out a little bit about your pet, I can create a realistic portrait full of  personality that can be cherished forever.

How can I order a portrait?

As I work using photographs as a reference, it is vital, first of all, to have the best quality images to work with, showing best details such as the fur, eyes, markings etc & in this way you can be sure I will achieve the best result for your pet portrait.

If possible, it is always best to send three or four images pointing out which one is most true to their colour.

Try to get as close to your pet as possible whilst staying in focus as this will give the maximum amount of detail.

How long does a portrait take?

The waiting list can vary depending on time of year. Leading up to Christmas I am very busy so it is best to plan your portrait well in advance. If there is a certain deadline I will try and get it finished a week before then so you have plenty of time to wrap it up. Once your pet portrait is completed, I will send you an email letting you know your portrait is complete and, if you will want to, a photo of it. Only if you will be completely happy with the portrait I’ll ask for payment prior to shipment.

Prices & Payment

The cost of your portrait will depend on many factors, such as medium, size, etc… You will be able to choose between different sizes of paper, hanging slates & wooden memory boxes. If you will have any question or need any advice about it, don’t hesitate to contact me and I will gladly help you.
